About Curio Wonder and Our Kits

What is Curio Wonder? Curio Wonder is a curated shop for screen-free DIY building kits. We hand-pick projects that help you slow down, use your hands, and make something you are proud to display.

What kinds of kits do you sell? Book nooks, mechanical wooden kits, 3D puzzles, miniature kits, and building block sets. Each one is a hands-on project you build from a set of included pieces.

What brands do you carry? We stock trusted makers including Rolife and Rokr, Eco-Wood-Art, Wrebbit, and Sluban, with more brands such as CuteBee, Mini City, and Anavrin joining our shelves over time.

Are these kits good for beginners? Yes. We carry projects across a range of skill levels. Every product page shows a difficulty rating so you can pick something that matches your experience, from a relaxing first build to an all-weekend challenge.

Are the kits suitable for children? Most of our kits are designed for teens and adults and contain small parts, so they are not suitable for young children. Each product page lists the recommended age, so please check it before buying for a younger builder.

Does the kit include everything I need to build it? Each kit includes the pieces described on its product page. Some builds also call for glue, paint, or batteries that are not included. We note the build type and anything you will need on every listing, so check there before you start.

How long does a kit take to build? It varies widely by project, from an evening to many hours spread across several sittings. Since the point is to slow down and enjoy the process, there is no wrong pace.

Orders and Payment

How do I place an order? Add items to your cart, go to checkout, enter your shipping and payment details, and confirm. You will receive an order confirmation by email.

Do I need an account to order? No. You can check out as a guest. Creating an account simply makes it easier to track orders and check out faster next time.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept major credit and debit cards, and popular digital wallets shown at checkout. Your payment details are handled securely by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.

Do you offer gift cards? Yes. Gift cards are a great option when you are not sure which kit someone will love. Please note that gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.

Can I buy a kit as a gift? Absolutely. Ship it directly to the recipient at checkout. If a gift needs to be returned, it can be handled within our standard 30-day window (see Returns below).

Can I change or cancel my order? Contact us as soon as possible. We can usually make changes or cancel before an order ships. Once it has shipped, it falls under our return process.

Do you charge sales tax? Applicable sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout based on your shipping address.

Shipping and Delivery

Where do you ship? We currently ship within the continental United States (the lower 48 states). We do not yet ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Do you ship internationally? Not yet, but we are actively exploring international and transcontinental shipping. Join our email list to be notified when we expand.

How much does shipping cost? Shipping is free on all orders of $50 or more within the continental U.S. Orders under $50 ship at a flat rate of $9 USD, shown at checkout.

How long until my order arrives? Most orders are prepared within 1 to 2 business days, and standard delivery typically takes 3 to 7 business days after that. Your total wait is processing time plus transit time.

Which carriers do you use? We ship through USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL, choosing the best option for your order and location.

How do I track my order? Once your order ships, we email you a tracking number and link. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking to begin updating.

Why did my order arrive in more than one box? Some orders ship from more than one location and may arrive separately over a few days, each with its own tracking. You are never charged extra for a split shipment. If part of your order has not arrived shortly after the rest, let us know.

Returns, Refunds, and Issues

What is your return policy? You have 30 days from delivery to return most items. To qualify, an item must be unused, sealed in its original packaging, and complete, with proof of purchase.

Can I return a kit I have opened or started building? Because our kits have many small, counted parts, an opened or started kit cannot be resold and is not eligible for a change-of-mind return. This does not affect your rights if an item arrives damaged, defective, or with missing pieces.

What are final sale items? Items marked "Final Sale," such as clearance stock, open-box items, and gift cards, cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrive damaged or defective. The final sale label is shown on the product page before you buy.

My kit arrived damaged or is missing a piece. What do I do? Contact us with your order number and photos. For shipping damage, reach out within 7 days of delivery; for missing or defective pieces, within your 30-day window. We will often arrange free replacement parts through the maker, or provide a replacement or refund if that is not possible.

Can I exchange an item? The fastest way is to return an eligible item for a refund and place a new order. For a damaged or defective item, we will arrange a direct replacement at no cost to you.

How long do refunds take? Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Your bank may need extra time to post it.

Building Help and Support

What if I get stuck during a build? Every kit includes instructions, and many makers offer video guides and support for their products. If you are stuck, reach out and we will point you to the right resource.

Can I get a replacement part if I lose or break a piece? Often, yes. Many of our brands supply individual replacement components, and we are happy to help you request one. Contact us with your order number and the part you need.

Are instructions in English? The kits we carry include instructions intended for our customers. If a specific listing has different or illustrated-only instructions, we note that on the product page.

Privacy and Communication

How do you protect my personal information? We use encryption in transit, security-vetted platforms, and strict data minimization, and we never sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do I unsubscribe from marketing emails? Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-out requests promptly. You can unsubscribe at any time without affecting your ability to shop.
